Patricia started experimenting first with watercolour and then with pastels in 1994.
It was so enjoyable she called it her PLAYART - pastels became the medium of choice, the range of vibrant colours endlessly enticing. At other times, Patricia has regarded it as her 'ART THERAPY' as she has been able to express her current emotional state.
As she developed her own style it became apparent that other people, including friends and family, were taking notice of the development of this unique style and as time progressed commissions were ordered.
Patricia feels that she is inspired to create and this means that in each period of inspiration the work is similar, but at the same time each piece is unique.
Her style is constantly changing and continues to evolve. Her very colourful work has been described as vibrant, energising, powerful and inspirational. People have constantly commented that they don't usually like abstract art but they really like Patricia's work and they see things in the work of which the artist was unaware.
