Based in Mudgee, artist Patricia Anne Ralph is an Australian abstract artist based in Mudgee, NSW, Australia.
Patricia's quality artwork is described as very colourful, vibrant, energising, energetic, powerful, provocative, magnetic and inspirational. It is mesmerising, dynamic art, expresseing freedom and comes from a inner space that is inspired by nature.
Her unique style, which Patricia calls 'art therapy' and 'play art', has been described in a newspaper article as 'Art of a Free Spirit' and is incredibly detailed and evocative. Patricia is inspired by nature and people to create and express herself and hopes that in turn she will inspire others. She wants to show by example that there is healing in creating and expressing ones inner self.
Pastels are Patricia's favourite medium as she layers her work, enabling her to express the different aspects of her surroundings or of a personality on which her artwork is based. She is greatly inspired by nature and at times she has focused on a subject such as water, undersea scenes, or coral, at other times she just works without any particular focus and allows her inner self to be expressed.
Patricia's biggest challenge to date was her painted full-size silk parachute, called 'My Sacred Mirror' which is on permanent display in the school library of the Winmalee High School.
